Village museum Fockbek
The Fockbek Village Museum not only exhibits the history of the village and its earlier life, but here visitors can also admire numerous objects, historical and contemporary photographs and written sources.
The tools used on farms for field work, threshing, fodder production or dairy farming are used to demonstrate "hands-on" that, despite the onset of mechanization, agriculture was predominantly characterized by physical labor in seasonal rhythm until the early 20th century. Before the invention of the rubber boot, how were the shoes and boots needed in the countryside made and repaired? What did a saddler have to do? And what tools were part of the trade of a wheelwright or blacksmith? Visitors will find answers to these questions through the exhibits displayed in the museum and the personal tour.
